What is Myers Briggs (MBTI)?

Now utilised by most Fortune 100 companies worldwide, it is the most widely used personality assessment in the world, with an estimated 2 million participants every year.

Myers Briggs is more than just training. It can provide, not only hugely helpful insight into how individuals perform and are viewed within the organisation, but can also be an extremely effective tool to help managers to lead, inspire and communicate more effectively and develop teams to grow and function as high performing groups.

After more than 60 years of research and development, the current Myers Briggs assessment aims to understand normal personality differences, explaining basic patterns in human functioning and is used for a wide variety of purposes including;

Within MBTI, there are no good or bad personalities, no right or wrong, we just behave and think differently due to our own inborn tendencies to use our minds in different ways. But it is not necessarily our “natural” preference.

During a Myers Briggs training and development day, we will carry out psychometric ‘profiling’ of all individuals and help the whole team understand more about themselves and their colleagues. The day is very interactive and we use role-plays, discussions and practical sessions so participants can understand how their personality types play out in real life situations and how everyone can use one another’s strengths for the betterment of the whole team.
